Antalya Airport 2^nd International Terminal

Having undertaken and completed the construction of the second international terminal, built to handle the growing volume of traffic through Antalya, the heart of Turkish tourism industry and to host millions more guests every year, Çelebi Ground Handling is now also managing the terminal through a company set up with its partner IC-İçtaş Construction.

Completed in the incredibly short time of just 11 months, the Antalya Airport 2^nd International Terminal went into service on 17 April 2005. The management of the Terminal which was very successfully carried on during 55 months has been terminated as of September 2009 with the completion of operating phase.

Built on 550,712 m² of grounds, the total construction area at the Antalya Airport 2^nd International Terminal was 448,039 m² including auxiliary units, extra-terminal service buildings, and 102,673 m² of outdoor space.

Fitted out with all the technical equipment demanded by modern airport safety and security, the terminal hosted the millions of visitors who come to Antalya every year with Çelebi's renowned high-quality service and expertise in the aviation industry.

Thanks to the state-of-the-art machinery and equipment used in the Antalya Airport 2^nd International Terminal, the terminal's security system exceeds international standards. This is the first facility of its kind in Turkey to be equipped with a six-stage security system.

Designed to comply with both national and international systems as well as to be architecturally elegant, the Antalya Airport 2^nd International Terminal fully reflected the traditional Çelebi difference with its advanced technical equipment, modern infrastructure, and superior service quality.

Antalya 2^nd International Terminal is equipped with a host of systems that are regarded as indispensable in aviation today. Many of them are being used for the first time in our country at this terminal.

• EDS

Explosive detection system rapidly and automatically detects explosives using integrated X-ray and computer technology.

• PC Air

Externally-supplied conditioned air for aircraft when connected to a boarding bridge.

• Jet Fuel Hydrant System

Aircraft fueling system consisting of 13 fuel pipeline with a capacity of 924 tons an hour, 97 fuel hydrants capable of supplying 12 bridge parking positions and 34 open parking positions from 97 hydrants, and a PLC-controlled fuel pumping station with a capacity of 1,100 m3/hour.
